On a vacation in the eastern Sierra be sure to stop off for a visit to Convict Lake for a day of hiking, fishing on a picnic. The morning views are best as the light bounces of the giagantic peaks and reflects back in the lake. As you travel Highway 395 north or south take the two mile paved road very near Mammoth Lakes airport. I have hiked, snowshoed, and sat by this scence a dozen times and its always a thrill to the eye and the heart. Try this onet LARGE and experience some mother nature awe.
