Le Château d'Avignon est situé dans la Camargue, non loin des Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. À côté du château, se trouve un ensemble de bâtiments qui hébergeaient les dispositifs d'approvisionnement, et de chauffage de l'eau desservant le château ou le parc, et les terrains agricoles alentours. Ici, la pompe Dumont qui actionnait une roue à aubes. Château d'Avignon is located in the Camargue, not far from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Next to the château is a group of buildings that housed the water supply and heating systems that served the château, the park and the surrounding farmland. Here, the Dumont pump, which drove a waterwheel.
