Built in 1908, this Classical Revival-style building was designed by Frank Pierce Milburn to serve as a courthouse for Newberry County, South Carolina. The building features a red brick exterior with a stone base, a hipped roof, stone trim, one-over-one double-hung windows, porticoes with paired red brick ionic columns and front-gable roofs, a cornice with modillions and dentils, an arched window on the second floor over the doorway on the College Street facade, decorative spandrel panels, doric pilasters, and a two-story rear addition. The building is a contributing structure in the Newberry Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, and increased to its present size in 2004. The building remains in use as a county courthouse.
