This was taken outside and is not a studio shot. I carry a set of inexpensive collapsible reflectors {I much prefer reflectors over a flash or LED as I get a more natural light} In this shot I placed the black reflector behind the seedhead. it's counterintuitive to think a black reflector would reflect light, in fact it takes light away.
