Llyn peris is the lower reservoir of dinorwic hydro electric.It started providing electricity to the National Grid on 20th of May 1984,it was opened by (Prince Charles).
It used to be the 2nd largest slate quarry in the world employing over 3,000 people,it closed on 20th of August 1969.
Now it is a world Heritage site since August 2021 and all surrounding slate villages in Gwynedd.
