We thought our May trip to Mammoth Lakes was spoiled when it started to snow the afternoon we arrived. The next morning, though, we found a great surprise consisting of a winter wonderland in Spring.
The ice was receding from Twin Lakes but Mother Nature decided to have one last spree of snowfall.
Note Double Falls at the rear of the picture just to the right of Crystal Crag and the footbridge that divides the two lakes.
