This building completed in the early 1930s is a historic landmark and despite all the vandalism on its walls and windows, is still being used by the same organization that built it.
União Fraterna (Portuguese for Fraternal Union) is a charitable organization founded a century ago to provide basic services such as medical care, education, skill development, entertainment among other things to the community.
Currently it's most known for its ballroom dance events and is one of the only buildings from its time that's still being used in the region.
